The purpose of this blog is to spread information about the Say No to SodaStream and Say Yes! to Human Rights Boycott Campaign. SodaStream is a home beverage carbonation system sold in major department stores and smaller boutique shops. The company makes a point of linking itself to green and ethical causes. Yet SodaStream is far from simple, small home appliance. It is an illegal West Bank settlement product, and the company’s profits go back into illegal settlement expansion in the West Bank. SodaStream’s main factory is located in Mishor Adumin Industrial Park, part of the Ma’ale Adumin residential settlement and the controversial E1 expansion. In fact, the Jahalin Bedouin people were relocated near the Jerusalem garbage dump to make room for SodaStream’s factory.
The goal of this blog will be to share and post information about our boycott campaign here in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Say No to SodaStream and Say Yes! to Human Rights is not linked to any other protest group or action and is a 100% grassroots campaign, started by my partner and me to bring attention to illegal, West Bank settlement goods in our community. Please see our petition page to gopetition.com under the Human Rights category.
